The PRDFF will be streamed live from various locations during the festival and
much of the festival can be seen on demand from the festival website.
We are presently in discussions with some of the largest online film and streaming
companies to participate in the 5 day event as our broadcast partners, names of which
will be released soon. The producer of the Festival has some interesting experience in
streaming...and some very excited talks are in motion...
In 1995, Benford Standley, festival creator and director, produced one of the very first live video/audio
Internet cybercast from the world famous Troubadour in Hollywood. In 1997, while living back in Austin,
Tx, he produced a live Internet cybercast with Willie Nelson and Friends. The cybercast was produced
in concert with Sony/Columbia Online and he produced the show on a Bob Dylan website. The show was
a Yahoo "Pick of the Week," and a pick by CitySearch.com, and was so successful that the Sony server
system crashed in San Francisco. In 1998, he produced a weekly website for one year from a club on the
corner of Hollywood and Vine. That year he launched the Virtual Entertainment Internetwork
StudioClub.com eleven years later it is still online and has average of quarter of a million hits per month
for the past two years, and is a webhost of the Film Festival
In 1999 and 2000, he produced 5 hour live audio-video webcasts of the First American in the Arts Awards

The world's first major film festival was held in Venice in 1932. Today there are thousands of film festivals
around the world, ranging from high profile festivals such as Sundance in Park City, Cannes in France,
the Telluride, Temecula, Toronto, Malibu to Woodstock Film Festivals. There are many books selling on
and about film festivals, how to submit to, prepare for and attend a film festival, books on directing,
producing and making your own film all have chapters on film festivals. It is and for many years has
been part of the movie making process. Now with the new digital age, the paradigm shift in the
entertainment business, the tapeless and filmless, and old distribution channels drying up, film festivals
are becoming more important in the film making process, to bring your finished work out to the world.
In addition, a new phenomenon growing world wide is film festival tourism, cities are generating tens of
millions of dollars in revenue. Many cities and festivals are offering tour packages. Some cities are
giving marketing and tourism grants and convention support to festival producers. After the work and
study that I have done over the past few years going to film festivals, and now producing a film festival,
I believe that this is only going to grow, especially in the light of the new changes in major studios,
