Biographical Sketch
Mr. Christopher Reyna. Principal,
New Paradigm Productions, is a technical expert who has extensive
experience with the full spectrum of production, post-production, and
exhibition of high quality moving images since 1971. Starting as a
projectionist in college, Reyna has evolved to his current position. As
an appropriate technologist, he has specialized in the development and
implementation of new digital tools for Giant Screen and ultra
high-resolution image presentations. He has pioneered the transition
from photochemical to digital toolsets with an emphasis on maximizing
quality. Mr. Reyna currently produces and restores images for digital

Highlights 1981-1983: Technical Directed the Zoetrope Studios’ World Roadshow Tour of Napoleon (1927) with custom designed 100’ wide screen and 3-interlocked 35mm projectors and a live 70 piece orchestra.
1983-1984: 3D 70/5p Film & Theater Design & Production for “Water…The Source of Life” at the US Pavilion at the 1984 World’s Fair.
1988-1989: Technical Producer for Endoscopic and High Speed IMAX Camera equipment and photography for “To The Limit.” IMAX film
1989-1990: Technical Producer for Theater & Simulator Concept Design; Motion Controlled IMAX Cameras, Ride Programming, & Optical Visual Effects for Universal Tours’ “Back To The Future – The Ride.
1992-2004: Founding President of IMAGICA USA Optical & Digital Visual Effects and Restoration facility. Developed & implemented the first High Resolution 65mm film scanner. Workflow & production of the first IMAX 4K Digital Intermediate master of “Roar” for National Geographic Films.
2003-2005: American Society of Cinematographer’s liaison to the Digital Cinema Initiative’s STEM test film and Digital Intermediate.
2005-2006: Digital Intermediate Producer of 4K Demonstration Imageware for Sony Electronics’ 4K SXRD Projection systems.
2007-2008: Producer for the 8K Ultradigital Restoration and Blu-ray mastering of the 65/5p classic feature film: Baraka.
Present: Imaging Producer for the 65/5p production of “Samsara” for an 8K scan, and subsequent 4K Digital Intermediate. Professional Memberships1.
